HEALTHY INDULGENCE: Workshop Understanding the Balance of Indulgence & Nutrition

Delve into healthy cooking habits using Ayurveda – the ancient medicinal and holistic health system from India. Understanding how Ayurvedic principles can beneficially fit into our modern cooking, not just with locally sourced ingredients, but also organic spices sourced from local farms in India. Build an organic diet to heal and re-energise you from the inside out.

Ayurveda is a traditional approach to wellness that helps balance our mind and body naturally through foods. Foods that are prepared Ayurvedically can help create better energy balance in the body which is key to optimal health. Simple mindful steps in the diet and lifestyle can help restore and bring about positive changes to the mental and physical wellbeing. In our food and cooking workshop, together we will prepare healthy and delicious food with local and Ayurvedic ingredients and flavors. As Ayurveda has historical roots in India, we will also experience some traditional Indian flavors with plant based cooking.

Learn simple and easy ways to nourish your meals, connecting to food, culture and yourself!

RECLAIM YOUR MIND-BODY CONNECTION: UNDERSTAND MENTAL & PHYSICAL OVERSTIMULATION AND STRESSORS AND WORK ON RECOVERY AND HEALTHIER COPING MECHANISMS

I feel so Stressed Out! I am feeling so Overwhelmed! These have become common statements in a time where ‘Hustle culture’ is being glorified. External stressors and over stimulation of modern day combined with a sedentary lifestyle affect not just our sleep patterns, nutrition, immune system, but also have a negative impact on our emotional and mental health. Fear and Anxiety can be powerful emotions, and when we shift our focus to more positive elements around us, we often gain clarity on how to best address these issues. De-stressing is the key to change. On this Journey of Wellbeing, break away from toxic coping mechanisms by learning tools to managing stress and healthy habits.

DAILY GENTLE YOGA SESSIONS – Bring body and breath awareness by stretching and deeply relaxing in yoga poses that enable physical, mental and emotional calmness. Slow down with quiet practices that will help you tune inwards, reflect and relax

BALANCED BREATHING – Learn different Pranayama techniques that can help in being grounded and centered. At the same time gain the confidence to apply the different breathing techniques in life situations that will not only put you at ease but also help to think more clearly

BLISSFUL MEDITATION – Once your Breath is Still, your Mind becomes Still. Focusing on your breath gives mental clarity and stability which in turn helps get rid of the stream of thoughts that crowds your mind and causes stress. Breath and Meditation goes hand in hand. When you understand one the other gets easier to master. We will learn the tools to master the techniques

MINDFUL PRACTICES – Simple practices that will help build self-awareness during stressful situations. These practices will help develop more resilience to overcome challenges and feeling more in the present moment leaving you with the feeling of acceptance and relaxation

RELEASE & REALIGN: UNBLOCKING YOUR HIPS & PELVIS

This is not your conventional Hip & Pelvic conditioning session! Through a series of guided movements and breathing movement flows, you will understand your natural alignment and blocks around your hips and pelvis. Most importantly the connection between stored trauma & stressors and blockages in muscle and joint movement. This session will provide you with a few methods you need to recognise, realign, and improve your mind body connection especially in situations that stress or trigger you.

RECALL & RELIEVE: WHAT YOUR MIND DOESN’T FORGET, YOUR BODY DOESN’T TOO

Have you ever felt a sharp pain or major stiffness around your neck and shoulders? Or do you remember a time when you were unable to voice your opinion / frustrations that made you eventually feel breathless? Through a series of guided movements and breathing flows we are going to understand how day to day stressors and over stimulation can lead to disruptive breathing and blockages around the upper body – mainly your neck, ribcage, shoulders and upper back. In this session we will give you a series of movement and breathing practices that can help you recognize your body’s reaction to your triggers and how you can rewire yourself to avoid major blocks to your mental & physical self.
